How to Update FASTag KYC Details?

The “One Vehicle, One FASTag” campaign was recently launched by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to deter users from using a single FASTag for numerous cars or the opposite. The reason for launching this campaign is to reduce traffic congestion and streamline toll collection. Your FASTag can be deactivated if you haven’t finished the Know Your Customer (KYC) procedure by February 29.

Documents Required for Update FASTag KYC

According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, you have to submit one of the following Officially Valid Documents (OVDs) to guarantee KYC compliance:

  • Voter ID
  • Driving License
  • Valid passport
  • Aadhar card 
  • Permanent Account Number (PAN)
  • NREGA job card with a state government official’s endorsement

Furthermore, along with these documents, a copy of your vehicle’s registration certificate (RC) is required.

Steps to Update FASTag KYC

  • Using NHAI Official Website

The first method to update FASTag KYC is via the National Highways Authority of India’s official website. 

  • First of all, visit https:// fastag.ihmcl.com.
  • Once here, log in using your registered phone number.
  • Next, navigate to the Dashboard Menu and click on the My Profile option. 
  • Here you will locate the KYC option.
  • Now, click on it and select “Customer Type”.
  • Eventually, follow the on-screen instructions and check on the mandatory declaration to upgrade your FASTag KYC. 

Note: The KYC approval process typically takes seven business days after you submit all of your documentation.

  • Using Bank Website

The second process in a row to update FASTag KYC via the bank website. Follow the steps outlined below and complete the process.

  • Next, head over to the https://www.netc.org.in/request-for-netc-fastag website.
  • Here choose your FASTag issuer bank and click on the link on the website.
  • Now, enter the registered mobile phone of the relevant FASTag issuing bank and log in.
  • Eventually, follow the instructions that appear on the display.

  • Offline

Going to the bank is another method for upgrading FASTag KYC. This is what you must do: 

  • Go to the nearest FASTag issuer bank with your identification card, PAN, passport-size photograph, and address proof.
  • For FASTag, you will need to fill out a KYC form. Ask a bank representative for more information.
  • Fill up the form and submit it along with the paperwork. 
  • The bank will certify your form and process it. 
  • As soon as your FASTag KYC is updated you will receive an SMS notification or email.
